Why a new Taco Bell franchisee decided to outsource his payroll and accounting
The business challenge
Todd Bisbocci always wanted to be an entrepreneur and run his own business. So when he had the opportunity to purchase 17 corporate-owned Taco Bell stores in Tucson, Arizona, after working for Taco Bell corporate’s office for 23 years, he jumped at the chance.
As a brand new business owner, Todd had a significant amount of responsibilities. Not only did he have to establish a new business entity and implement a successful business transition, he was also in charge of the company’s development, operations, and strategy. And he had to tackle all of this without an office or a staff.
With so many other priorities and initiatives to tackle, managing his stores’ payroll and accounting function wasn’t a top priority. Todd got into the restaurant business to be his own boss and to build and grow a business – not to do payroll and accounting. He knew managing these functions would take his time away from more important issues a first-year franchise owner faces.
“I had a lot of other pressing priorities besides payroll, financial reporting, and P&L. I knew I either had to bring it in-house or outsource. And it made the most sense for my business to outsource” he said.
Todd chose to outsource his payroll and accounting activities to Delaget.
